It must be admitted, that the design of the latest generation of iPhones tends to be boring, especially the front which is still equipped with bangs or notches. But going forward, the design of the iPhone 16 in 2024 will be more modern thanks to a fullscreen screen without bangs on it.
Apple is predicted to be developing designs so that the latest iPhones in the future will no longer look ordinary. According to renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the Cupertino-based tech giant is developing an under-display selfie camera.
This technology has indeed been implemented by Samsung through the Galaxy Z Fold3. However, the implementation is still unsatisfactory, so it needs further development.
The camera under the screen currently has a lower image quality than a regular camera. This is due to less light entering the sensor because of the extra layer above it.
Another problem, is lower image resolution. That’s why this under-screen camera needs better development to improve the quality of the resulting image.
Apple may be a little late to implement this technology. But at least the company will make the camera technology under the screen much more sophisticated.
Quoting from GSMArena, Apple will embed the selfie camera under the screen along with the Face ID component in the same place. This technology will be presented on the iPhone 16 which will be released in 2024.
“My prediction is still the same, Face ID under the screen will come in 2024 on the iPhone 16,” said Kuo.
“I think the real full-screen iPhone will come in 2024. The high-end iPhones in 2024 will adopt a front camera under the screen along with Face ID,” he continued in a different post.
More or less two more years to see the iPhone 16 with a fullscreen screen without a notch and has a front camera under the screen. Ready to wait?
