Focus Mode Zoom for All Users in the account

  • Log in to the Zoom web portal where you as an admin can edit account settings.
  • In the navigation pane, click Account Management and then Account Settings.
  • Click the Meetings tab.
  • Under In Meeting (Advanced), click Focus Mode to turn it on or off.
  • If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the changes.
  • If you want to make this setting mandatory for all users in the group, click the lock icon, then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Focus Mode Zoom for Groups of Users

  • Log in to the Zoom web portal where you are the admin with group editing privileges.
  • In the navigation menu, click Account Management and then Account Settings.
  • Click the applicable group name from the list.
  • Click the Meetings tab.
  • Under In Meeting (Advanced), click Focus Mode to turn it on or off.
  • If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the changes.
  • Finally, If you want to make this setting mandatory for all users in the group, click the lock icon, then click Lock to confirm the setting.

How to Use Focus Mode in a Meeting

  • Start a meeting as a host or co-host.
  • Click More on the meeting toolbar.
  • Click Start Focus Mode.
  • Click Start to confirm, or select the Don’t Ask me again checkbox to skip this confirmation next.
  • When Focus Mode starts, you and your participants are notified by a banner at the top of the video window. Later the focus mode icon is always visible in the upper left corner of the video window. It’s next to the encryption icon when focus mode is active.
